Mr. Thomson admitted that he had heard rearks to this erreat and also that he himself, as well as the Tallowanip of Reconciliation, who sponsored the young man visit to the Brookwood institution, were much aisappointed in the results of his stay among them.
The young man appears to have returned with a greatly exaggerated idea of his om importance and indications are that not ther the local labor element nor the so called Communistio group in Costa Rica care to have anything to do with him.
This very apparent failure or Mr. Thomson plan to preparo one Costa Rican of the laboring element to roturn to his country to spread the ideas and doctrinas of the noro progressivo elemente of the American Federation of Labor, has provon very interesting and would indicate that neither Mr. Thonson nor Tho Tellowship w112 undertake to repeat buon un aperience any time soon. It would be interesting to this Location and possibly to the Department as well to ascertain what suecoso has attended their efforts to aduoate other young men (one from each Contral American country) along similar lines at the same institution, which is understood to have been their original plan.
Respectfully yours, CHARLES EBERHARDT 848 true copy of the signed original.
