The weekly organ of the Communist Party in Costa Rica, TRABAJO, continues to attack the administration, the Municipality of San José, the United Fruit Company, the subsiduaries of the Electric Bond Share Company, and especially anything American. The paper publishes an increasing number of articles of an educational and informative nature regarding Communism, which are evidently received from Moscow or from the United States.
Much space in TRABAJO has also been given in recent issues to letters addressed to comrades in San José by Adolfo Braña, the Communist leader who was deported from Costa Rica in June to his native Spain, after many years residence in Central America. He is said to be in Vigo, Spain, in which city, he states, the unemployment problem is more serious than in San José.
This morning local press reports that Leonard Doherty, who came to Costa Rica originally bearing American Seaman papers and who was deported to the United States on May 21, 1933, has just been apprehended at the Panamá.
