The New Orleans and New York vessels received a total load of 54, 900 stems, approximately 50 per cent less than the quantity ordinarily shipped during one, weeksopy to Legutior, sen Jogé. An offioial of the fruit exporting company expressed some doubt as to whether shipments of bananas would be made this coming week due to the continuance of the strike. Most of the fruit shipped during the past three days was cut in the Estrella valley, a region unaffected by the strike at the present time. The communist leaders of the strike assert that they will extend their activities to this section before August 17th, the date of the next fruit cutting.
