They added that they would return to work as soon as they could be given adequate protection since they believed that in a short time they will be exposed to real suffering due to lack of means to acquire the necessities of life.
The undersigned believes it to be his duty to bring out the fact that this movement which has been given the name of strike is not in reality a strike since the workers say that they have been satisfied and that they wish to return to their work but do not do so because they are afraid of the threats and because they consider that guarantees are lacking. The present agitation must be considered as a social movement, instigated, directed and supported in the larger part by foreign elements. It is not a movement of workers but of professional agitators whohave accomplished their objectives to date by means of threats. The undersigned is convinged that more than ninety five
