This is the support for which Mora and his associates have been appealing and for which they will probably continue to appeal, since it appears to be netting them fair results. But it remains to be seen whether they are playing Moscow game or whether Moscow will be an ultimate beneficiary.
There are no anti war movements, as such, in Costa Rica, but there is an Anti Fascist League, which was organized to express resentment over the assistance given to General Franco in the Spanish civil war by the Italians, primarily, and secondarily the Germans. large part of its membership is composed of Spaniards residing in Costa Rica who are partisans of the Loyalists. Some local communists are members, but once the civil war terminates it seems probable that the league will disband.
