Sir: have the honor to refer to previous reports on this subject, ending with despatch No. 2025 of February 16, 1940, with EN regard to the results of the elections for the Presidency of the Republic and Deputies to the National Congress.
Voting for members of the Municipal Council of San Jose took place concurrently with the national election. final recount of votes by the electoral board was followed by the announcement on February 20, that the National Republican Party had elected members and alternates of the San Jose Municipal Council as against members and alternate elected by the Bloque de Obreros y Campesinos.
