The above, of course, represents the legal aspect of the situation, and does not take into account possible political maneuvers. think it would be well to request the Legation in San Jose to report on the matter and have accordingly drafted the attached telegram. President Calderón Guardia term of office runs until May 1944, and if anything happened to him, his successor would presumably run things in Costa Rica for some little time.
