As the Embassy has reported previously, Picado is under constant pressure, both from within and without the country, to sever his connections with Mora and his group, and it is equally obvious that the latter will fight to the last to see that his program is not repudiated. For this reason, Mora states that the demonstration is to impress the new Government. as well as the country at large. This is the first time that he has publicly spoken so candidly on this subject.
