We shall see whether Nuñez, the priest, really engaged in the bit of duplicity reported above.
We came home from the Cobb to learn, not unexpectedly, that the dinner at the Chilean Legation tonight had been called off, so we had a quiet meal at home. After dinner the Chier of Protocol phoned to say there would be a meeting of the diplomatic corps tomorrow. he will tell me the hour in the morning.
