lekny Amlegation, San José (Costa Rica) have shown your telegram of July 25, holl. to the llinister of Costa Rica, saying presumed the demonstration referred to Li Ellll was based on inaccurate press reports of the scope of the proposed canal convention with llicaragua which is us much desired by that government as by our own. Costa Rican Minister has telegraphed President Jiminez denying rumors. Please say to President Jiminez that this government does not conteriplate any change in its attitude toward Central American countries, and that linister Calvo is fully informed as to provisions in llicaragua treaty and of our governrients policy.
