In the meantime the Government of Nicaragua was informed of the action of that of a Salvador ana it send a vigorous telegram of protest to the latter Government asking 16 by what right it concerned itself with, and invited other Governments to protest against, actions that were wholely the affair of the Government of Nicaragua. To this message the Government of Salvador had no satisfactory reply to make and the matter was dropped.
