No. 345. 2circulars, one entitled CENTRAL AMERICAN PATRIOTIC LEAGUE, and the other THE PROTEST OF YOUTH AND PROGRESS.
The circular of the Central American Patriotic League publishes the subsequent action of the persons who held the before mentioned meeting of protest in the Hotel Granada of this city on the ilth instant, and is intended to be sent to individuals throughout Central America, with a request for them to take similar action as that now formulated by the Central American Patriotic League.
The circular of the society styling itself YOUTH AND PROGRESS is an exuberant outburst of patriotism of the student body of this capital, composed of lads from thirteen to seventeen years of age, some of whom are still in knickerbockers, and the object of their meeting, as stated in the circular, is to protest to the Senate of the United States hof North America against the infractions which have been committed by the former and which are continuing to be com mitted by the present Government of that country, in the form of a criminal conquest which ultimately will tend not only to the domination of the Western Hemisphere, but also to the destruction therein of the race of latin origen.
Lest the Department should attach unmerited importance to the men composing the Central American Patriotic League, wish to point to the unsavory character of the President of the same, Doctor Carlos Dárdano, who, about two and a half years ago, smuggled into this country from Europe, in wine barrels, a large quantity of arms and ammunition, machine guns, dynamite bombs and other high explosives with which to start
