No. 345. start a revolution in this country, blow up the million dollar National Palace here, the Presidential Mansion and other public buildings, and then, with the aid of the notorious Salvadorian outlaw Doctor Prudencio Alfaro, attempt to assassinate the late President Araujo. see my despatch No. 175, dated July 3, 1911. For this offense Doctor Dardano was incarcerated in the national penitentiary here, from which he was released only about five months ago by the orders of President Meléndez. The dynamite bombs and the other explosives and the war materials before mentioned were on public display in the Presidential Mansion for about two years.
Nearly all of Doctor Dárdano associates in this Central American Patriotic League have prison records, and generally speaking, they are all implacable enemies of decent government, but especially of the Government and people of the United States.
As for the before mentioned youths, their inconsequence is too evident to merit conment. have the honor to be, Sir, Your obedient servant, 20H TNC Enclosures: Clipping from the DIARIO LATINO, January 24, 1914, with corresponding translation. Transmitted in triplicate.
