Most of the local press devoted much space on the first page of last night and this morning editions to accounts of the American government action in Nicaragua.
The following comment from the Nationalist LOKALANZEIGER of this morning is representative of the extreme radicals type. In Nicaragua there is a FI TIT conflict between the interests of the socialistic but 2, 061 330 national government of Mexico and the interests of North American capital.
The use of force for the purpose of defending American interests would seemingly not be considered opportune by Washington in view of the large amount of American capital invested in Mexico which would then be endangered.
But in no case will the United States tolerate that the national and socialistic ideas of Mexico take root in the other Central American countries and imperil their own most important interests: the basis of their Central American foreign policy.
