The occasion was the unveiling of their Silver Tree, and the programme was ably carried through with contributions from the St. Anthony and the Division Choirs.
The devotional section of the evening was presided over by Mr.
Cooper, first Vice President, while Secretary Greely conducted over the other part of the programme, Miss Richards contributed a vocal solo for which she was complimented, and the Misses Skeritt, Wright, McPherson, Lansiquot, Greely and others recited. The contest for the unveiling of the Silver Tree was won by Miss Greely who was also appointed to represent the Division.
Miss Lansiquot was appointed to represent Madam Demena, international organizer of the movement. The following delivered addresses; Messrs Cooper, Arendale, Davis, Robert and Ratie.
The principal address of the evening was delivered by Mrs. Gordon, her subject was the male leaders of the organization. The speaker was listened to with rapt attention as she brought out many facts in reference to her subject, she spoke for 45 minutes.
