OUR TASK The detectives vigilance continues with effectiveness and the citizens are regaining the confidence of security which was lost by the robbery waves which were scourging this city It was very clear vision and wisdom on the part of Mayor Pacheco, our Commander of Police in having assigned Don Muñoz (Cuba) to the Detective Bureau and to be associated to the very able Chief, don Hernán Castro. Cuba knows every corner and nook of this city; he knows also almost every citizen and by which the new comer to Limon is closely watched The very efficient team work by the two detectives is very cotable and they are kicking their goals.
We learn that a young woman from one of the line towns was recently employed as a maid in the home of a very respectable family During her period of employment lady wrist watch was stolen. An investigation grew out this misde meanor and it is said that a confession was obtained servant and the watch recovered.
We gather that the young woman general appearance is so charming and captivating that a high sense of responsibility to duty has been carried out in apprehending her.

BY THE EDITOR We consider that the maintenance of efficient Sanitation is the chief pillar of all organizations with tendency to the protection and increment of the public health of any community. Experience has demonstrated that the activity of this Department is the most possible means to control and protect the health of people. The old maxim is It is better to prevent than cure.
This should not merely be an image fixed on the mind, used do adorn a chart or a discourse without the aim towards which 10 aspire to arrive soon or late. If public health is truly desired, it should be the strictest duty of the authorities of Health to enforce all the requirements of the Organization to benefit all the people, to the remotest part of the locality. It is indispensible that all the organs that form this department have direct contact with the population rendering the services for which Sanitation is mstituted and maintained.
