Adriano Urbina, who was in the Province of Guanacaste on election day, was quoted in the local newspapers as saying that he had not witnessed elections, but had lived for a few days under a real dictatorship; that pressure had been brought against partisans of the Opposition and that many who tried to vote against the Administration were imprisoned.
In spite of the above protests, however, it is not likely that the defeated candidates will be able to induce the Election Boards to declare that frauds have been committed, and the Deputies elected will therefore take their seats at the beginning of the regular sessions of the Congress on May 1, 1934.
Respectfully yours 803 Enclosure:1. List of Deputies elected February 11, 1934.
